Letter: A 31-year-old homeopathy doctor killed his mother and sister before trying to commit suicide in their home in the Katargam area on Saturday night.
Darshana Prajapati Inject Heavy Dosage Anesthetic Medication to Mother Mansanjul (59) and Falguni’s younger sister (29), a school teacher, before consuming 26 sleeping pills.
Fast action by his brother, Gaurav, who returned from Mumbai on Sunday morning, saved his life at Raksha Bandhan.
The police ordered Prajapati for the murder of his mother and sister.
The complaint was submitted by Gaurav, Elder Brother, at the Chowk Bazar police station.
Prajapati recovered when he received timely care.
The police recovered a suicide note from the house where Prajapati claimed that he was sick of life and did not want to live.
“He told the police in his statement that his mother and sister emotionally attached to him and depended on him for most of their needs.
He thought that their lives would become miserable after his death,” said a police officer.
“He gave them an injection of 10 ml of anesthetic drugs which were usually given 2 ml for patients.
Because there wasn’t enough medicine available at home he took a sleeping pill,” the officer added.
In his statement, Prajapati told the police that he gave injection to the people who died claiming that it was a pain reliever because they both experienced joint pain.
