JB Pardiwala Judicial Bench and Justice VD Nanavati Looking for replies from the authorities and companies that operate STP in Pirana after consuming news reports saying that the company has not followed the parameters set for water treatment and leaving without penalties.
The report also said that even though there was inappropriate water treatment, the company continued to get a contract for the same thing.
The court noticed that gutter water was not treated according to the norms, rules, and regulations set since the contract came to be given for the sake of the company.
The bench said, “It is very disturbing to know that polluted water is released directly to the Sabarmati River.” The court also said that despite striking violations at the end of the company, AMC continued to provide contracts that support the same company and it was also based on one tender.
The court has searched for responses on August 20, when hearing further has been posted on this problem.
