Ahmedabad: After elementary school, the State Education Department has directed high school and higher to run in the morning shift, said sources in the state government.
With schools closed for education on campus because of the Covid-19 situation, the morning hours seem to be the preferred time for teachers to hold online classes.
The decision came after a representation was made by high school and medium teachers in this case, according to the source.
Recently, the department directed elementary school to run in the morning and brought online education sessions in this period.
The Director of Basic Education also issued a circular in this last week.
Last month, a group of elementary school teachers made representations to the state government to allow schools to function only in the morning shift.
