Letter: Court session on Friday sentenced a man for rape and killed a 10-year-old girl in the Pandesara area in the city of Gujarat.
Additional Judge N A Anjaria said Dinesh Baisane (24) was guilty of being charged for rape and murder under the Criminal Code and the relevant provisions of the protection of children of sexual violations (Pocso).
Quantum penalties will be spoken by the court on December 16.
The Public Prosecutor Nayan Sukhadwala demanded a death sentence for prisoners, Maharashtra indigenous people, who lived in the location of Prem Nagar in the letter.
According to prosecution, Baisane lured the girl by offering to buy food when he played near his uncle’s house in the area on December 7, 2020.
The accusation then took the child to a remote place and sucked sexually, and when he began to shout for help, he killed him beat him to death with bricks, prosecution stated.
The victim’s parents approached the police when he did not go home until evening.
Baisane was arrested by the police the following day based on CCTV recording and information distributed by the locals.
In one clip, the defendant can be seen carrying a girl to a local store.
