After the increase in Covid cases, the Gujarat government on Friday announced that the night hour night timings would be increased several hours in eight major cities of the country.
With the effect of Saturday, night hours will take effect from 11pm to 5 in the morning, instead of 1am to 5am, government notice said.
Night at night has been valid in eight Ahmedabad cities, letters, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh and Jamnagar because of the covid pandemic.
New notifications issued by the Household Department on Friday stated that shops and companies, restaurants, shopping complexes would not be allowed to remain open above 11:00 in eight major cities.
Previously, these companies could still open until midnight.
