Vadodara: Three-month-old babies were killed by leopards in Timba Village at Dahod District.
Traps have been placed to capture leopards.
The incident took place on Thursday night at the residence of Ramesh Tadvi in the village located in Limkheda Taluka.
Tadvi is not a home and his wife who is doing household tasks when Jayesh’s baby is in a bed in their home.
The house doesn’t have a door.
“Leopard may have entered the house to look for other animals stored in homes in this area.
The child is in a bed near the place where animals are stored and the leopard may have taken it,” said the Deputy Forest Conservator R M Parmar.
When the child is lost, the family and villagers begin to look for it.
On Friday they found several clothes and the remnants of other children in the forest and approached the official.
Parmar said that there were no other attack incidents in humans by leopards reported in this area in the past.
He added that the cage was placed in the village to trap the leopard.
The cage has a goat as a bait in it.
