SURAT: A court in Surat given life imprisonment into Shailesh Rathod, a 45-year-old fabric unit employee for raping and impregnating his 19-year-old niece. The court condemned Rathod, a resident of Salabatpura place, for rape and sexual assault under the segments of the Indian Penal Code. The woman was pregnant once the family came to learn about her ordeal. Because of this delay, she couldn’t receive the foetus aborted. DNA profiling of their kid demonstrated that Rathod had been her daddy. The complaint was lodged by the senior director of this woman at Salabatpura police station in September 23, 2020 where he promised that she had been 14-year-old. “But, it had been established in the courtroom in the college leaving certificate of this woman she had been born in June 2001. Thus the man wasn’t convicted under parts of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and has been awarded the benefit of doubt,” people prosecutor Kishore Revaliya stated.
