Rajkot: A married 20-year-old child was strangled to death in his sleep, allegedly by her husband, for marriage disputes.
Shahimoonnishhan women were found dead at his home in Jamnagar on December 10 at night but the postmortem report revealed the cause of his death on Sunday.
Following Wahyu, his father Akbar Ali Fakir, 65, native to Uttar Pradesh, filed a complaint and the police arrested his son-in-law Abdul Wahid Abdul Khalid Khan for murder.
The couple married in August last year and shifted to Jamnagar to find some casual work work.
Police said the defendant was not happy to live away from his family and this often resulted in bitter fight between the couple.
“The initial investigation has revealed that he suffocated him to death when he slept around 3m last Friday,” said the source at the B-Division police station.
