Ahmedabad: With a sharp decline in the case of daily Coronavirus in Gujarat, the state government on Thursday decided to lift the night hours at 10 of the 18 urban areas.
Furthermore, even in eight cities where night hours will continue, the training center for grade 9 students and so on can continue the classroom.
The curfew between 10pm to 6 in the morning applies in 18 cities and the city today.
Gujarat on Thursday recorded 62 new Covid-19 cases, 534 recovery and no fresh death.
From 10 to 20 July, night hours will only apply in eight major cities – Ahmedabad, Letters, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Gandhinagar.
The decision to lift the night at 10 other cities was taken by the chairman of Minister Vijay Rupani after reviewing the Coronavirus situation, the official release said.
Thus, there will be no hours at night at Bhuj, Morbi, Patan, Mehsana, Bharuch, Navsari, Valsad, Ankleshwar, Vapi and Gandhidham.
All commercial companies, including shops and beauty homes, can remain open until 9pm in eight cities where night hours will continue.
Restaurants can also keep open until 9pm and home delivery allowed until midnight in this area, the release said.
Instead of the previous 100, 150 people can attend weddings, and public parks in eight of these cities can still be open until 9pm.
The training class for grade 9 students for postgraduate postgraduate programs and for competitive exams can be held with 50 percent of attendance, the release said.
Public transport buses can operate with 75 percent of occupancy instead of presenting 60 percent in eight of these cities, said release, adding that educational institutions, spas, swimming pools and water parks will remain closed.
