Ahmedabad: In a joint operation of Gujarat (ATS) anti-terrorist troops (ATS) and Guard Coast India (ICG), Pakistani fishing boat with six crew members from Karachi, allegedly brought 77kg Heroin worth around RS 385 Crore, detained in Indian waters off the coast of Jakhau On Sunday night, Gujarat DGP (Director General of Police) Ashish Bhatia said on Monday.
The seizure was made in mid-sea operation about 35 miles of sea from Jakhau Beach in Kutch District Gujarat.
ATS officers and the ICG team understood Pakistani ‘Al Huseini’ fishermen with six crew members in Indian waters and won 77kg Heroin.
This is the largest seizure of sea relatives this year by Gujarat ATS.
The operation was monitored by Gujarat ATS digging Himanshu Shukla.
The boat has been taken to Jakhau for further investigation.
In September, Gujarat ATS had confiscated around 35 kg of heroin in medium operation and arrested seven Iranian citizens on September 18.
On November 14, ATS Sleuth invaded a house in Jinjuvada Village in the Morbi district, arrested three people and won 120 kg of medicine.
During the investigation, they arrested around 11 people and won 146kg more heroin, worth Rs 730 Crore.
Regarding the SEA-Mid-Sea operation on Sunday night, Gujarat police officers said the Pakistani ship had left the Karachi port and tried to assign contacts using very high frequency radio channels and code words, ‘day-1’ and ‘days -2 ‘, for drug delivery.

The crew members arrested by ATS and ICG were identified as Mohammed Imran Vager, Mohammed Sajid Vager, Mohammed Denmark Vager, Ashfaq Vager, all Muslim residents of Mujahid Colony, Baldiya, Karachi; Ismail Badala, a resident of the Badar Ground region in Karachi and Sagar Vager, a resident of Baba Island in Karachi.
