Ahmedabad: Petroleum dealers throughout Gujarat observed ‘black days’ on Thursday, protesting the absence of an increase in the margin dealer on the sale of gasoline, diesel and CNG for the past four years.
All members of the Federation of Dealer Petroleum Association (FGPDA), i.e.
About 4,000 petroleum dealers, do not buy fuel from oil companies on Thursday.
This is the second time in August when dealers do not buy fuel from oil companies, they are not gasoline and diesel on August 12 too.
Continuing their protests, petroleum dealers will not buy fuel from oil companies in August 5 as well.
Dhimant Ghelani, Secretary General, FGPDA, said, “The dealer margin has not been upgraded for four years.
Petroleum dealers get RS 3 margins for each liter of gasoline purchased, Rs 2 for each Liter Diesel and Rs 1.75 for each kg CNG.

“CNG sales were also stopped at all stations in the state for an hour IE From 1pm to 14:00 on Thursday, in protest.
Dealers say they suffer losses because of locking and restrictions imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19 and it is time for their demands to increase margins fulfilled.
According to FGPDA estimates, 1.46 crore liters of diesel and 72 latric liters of gasoline are sold every day in Gujarat.
