Ahmedabad: On December 26, Daksha Bhatia, a resident of Mehsana, met with a big accident.
The incident occurred when he returned after the basketball training session.
His father Sameer Bhatia said that Daksh had all participated in the national level tournament where he trained hard.
The doctor said that the accident was severe and parents couldn’t even see his face.
He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead brain.
Local social workers approach Sameer Bhatia and advise him on organ donations.
He agreed easily, taking the opportunity to give new levies to others and give long-term memories for his son.
On December 27, his body was taken from Mehsana to Ahmedabad to take his organs.
Doctors get two kidneys and hearts that will soon be transplanted to patients at IKRDC.
“It is the first example where a patient who died outside the campus was brought for organ harvesting for us.
This is a big pride problem for us that the donation is done a day after we finish the first year of our first corpse donation,” said Dr.
Rakesh Joshi, medical supervisor, Civil hospital.
Organizational officials of the State Organ and Network Transplant (Sotto) said that even though it became a year of Pandemi, 2021 saw a large leap in organ donations, especially through institutional awareness and tireless work by several NGOs for the cause.
Letter and Ahmedabad have recorded maximum contributions.
Officials said that every corpse donation reduced the burden of taking from direct donors.
