Ahmedabad: heavy rainfall in parts of Hapa-wash Rajkot railway tracks at six places, leading to the cancellation, termination or transfer of 10 trains passing through the area.
Heavy water flow leaving the track between the Aliwabada and Jamvanthali damaged.
Confirming this, officials said, “Heavy rains wash the soil under the trail.
Trails around 200 meters in six points has been corrupted in this way.” A senior official said that it would take at least 24 hours after the rain stopped and the water receded to restore situation to normality.
This has resulted in the cancellation of two trains, including Rajkot-Okha and Okha-Rajkot.
Also, officials say that Shree Mata Vaishnodevi Katra-specifically terminated Jamnagar, Rajkot.
Later in the evening, the train leaves the Rajkot to Shree Mata Vaishnodevi Katra.
Also, six other trains rescheduled.
Train Okha-Mumbai-Ahmedabad rescheduled and diverted through Kanalus-Jetalsar service.
Other trains were rescheduled and diverted on the route including the Okha-Somnath, Okha-Jaipur-Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Porbandar, Okha-Somnath and Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad-Porbandar.
