Ahmedabad: Gujarat added 40 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, taking the calculation of infection to 8.26,866, while there was no fresh death because this disease was reported in the state, the health department said.
Calculate recovery rose to 8.16,542 after 21 patients were dismissed from hospitals during the day, the release by the department.
Gujarat now has 234 active cases, where 7 patients are in the ventilator, he said.
The death toll remained unchanged at 10,090 with no fresh fatality registered in the last 24 hours, the release said.
A total of 7.33 doses of coronavirus crore vaccines have been given to the eligible population so far in Gujarat, where 4.57 lakh shots are given during the day, the department said.
No new Covid-19 case was registered in the Union Dadra area and Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu in the last 24 hours, the official release said.
Of the total 10,654 people feel positive for the Coronavirus in UT so far, four have died, while 10,650 has recovered, said liberation.
