Ahmedabad: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) signed MoU on Thursday with the Gujarat government for the total investment of Rs 5.95 lakh Crore as part of investment promotion activities for vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022.
These projects will create 10 lakh direct employment opportunities and Indirect in Indonesia, the company said in a media statement.
“To make Gujarat Net-zero and carbon-free carbon, RIL proposes to invest RS 5 Lakh Crore in the state for 10 to 15 years to regulate the 100GW of renewable energy power plants and the development of green hydrogen systems,” said companies in media statements.
The largest private sector company in the country will develop an environmental system to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and encourage employers to embrace new technology and innovation that leads to the use of renewable energy and green hydrogen.
In consultation with the Gujarat government, RIL has started the Scouting Land process for the 100gw renewable energy power project at Kutch, Banaskantha and Dholera.
The company has requested 4.5 lakh hectares of land in Kutch.
RIL will invest in RS 60,000 other crores in preparing ‘integrated renewable facilities in new energy manufacturing’ including solar PV modules (for manufacturing polycicon, wafers, cells & modules), electrolysis, energy storage batteries and fuel cells.
Additional investment Investment RS 25,000 Crore will be carried out by RIL in existing projects and new businesses for the next 3 to 5 years, he said.
RIL has also proposed to invest RS 7,500 Crore more than 3 to 5 years to increase the Jio-5G network to 5G and RS 3,000 Crore more than 5 years with Reliance Retail.
The Mous was signed by the Secretary of the Head of the Government of the Government of the Government of Gujarat Rajiv Kumar Gupta and Reliance Industries Group President Parimal Nathwani in front of Gujarat Head of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel.
The Chairperson of RIL Mukesh Ambani has a GMS held in June 2021 announced plans to invest Rs 75,000 Crore for several years ahead of the vertical new energy business.
The company announced that he planned to build four “giga factories” to make integrated solar pv modules, electrolyer, fuel cells and batteries to store energy from the grid.
The site of these factories will be located in the new 5,000-hectare green energy giga complex in Jamnagar.
The company plans to enter the manufacture and generation of solar with a 100gw solar energy target in 2030.
