Ahmedabad: A 17-year-old boy from the ranip area from the city was electrocuted on Monday night after he touched a high-voltage electricity line as he shot a video on the roof of the train goods in the Sabarmati area in the city area.
The incident took place around 5:30 a.m.

The locals rushed there and took him to the Solola civil hospital in the ambulance where he was declared dead, said a police officer Sabarmati train.
Police officers said that the boy was a 12th grade student with the Nishant School in Ranip and the only child from his parents.
His father was an employee with the Department of Post and Mother was a home maker.
“His grandfather told the police that Panchal’s friends came to the house at around 4:30 p.m.
on Monday and took him on his scooter.
Then, he only knew about his death,” police said.
After the family got entertainment, police personnel would try to find out who was there with him when he went to record videos.
It has been suspected that he might record videos for other people who might escape after the incident happened.
“Instagram and Facebook profiles show that he previously made a video on the railway.
But at the time of the incident, he had climbed and touched the wire accidentally claimed his life,” police officers said.
