Gujarat, three northeastern countries are more susceptible to the events of dengue fever: ICMR

Ahmedabad: In India, Gujarat and three northeastern countries are the biggest risk of repeated bloody bleed incidents.
This observation comes from the Mammoth survey that began in January 2014, where 3,11 Dengue Lakh cases throughout India were analyzed by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) -National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai.
In early 2018, the institution had accumulated the details of the IGM antibodies or NS1 antigens against the dengue virus of 51 research viruses and diagnostic laboratories (VRDLs) spread across India.
ICMR-Nie epidemiologists found that in almost 85% of the Gujarat region, the degree of dengue was between 29 and 54 cases for the same geographical location between January 2014 and early January 2018.
Scientists had used kriging techniques to draw hot maps to draw maps of the country, Obviously marking areas with high dengue incidence rates.
As for the northeastern state, this study suggested that Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur are very vulnerable to frequent dengue fever outbreaks.
Epidemiologists who work on the project include Vasna Joshua, K Kanagasabai, RABINATHAN, M RAVI, B K Kirubakan, and V Ramachandran from ICMR-NIE.
Using a method called Kulldorff’s time scanning statistics, the researchers found eight significant clusters, most of the district, which had a level of high-blooded fever in this country.
Apart from the beautiful gujarat plots, these districts including Nagpur (Maharashtra); Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan); Gadag and Dakshin Kannada (Karnataka); Kancheepuram and Sivaganga (Tamil Nadu); Ernakulam (Kerala); and Malda (West Bengal).
“Our analysis has a certain limit.
It is based on data collected from patients who seek treatment at medical college hospitals,” the researchers said.
“[Data] is reported by the health authority discussed under VRDL and may not include all cases of dengue fever spread across the country.” This warning was issued by researchers in special records of papers published in the Publication of the ICMR themselves called “Journal of Vector Borne Diseases”, in the September issue of this year.
This paper added that from the case of lakh 2.11 analyzed for IgM antibodies or NS1 antigens against the dengue virus, 60,096 (28.4%) positive for antibodies.
