Vadodara: Two police officers posted in the city were issued a showcuse notification to write posts on social media to support the ongoing agitation by the family of police personnel in Gujarat.
The police were identified as Constable Ilesh Rathwa, which was posted in the traffic department and Constable Jitendra Kumar Lodha, posted at the National Police Headquarters.
Police senior officials said that the Duo had created tags and made posts to support agitation where the police family had protested the problem of salary value.
On Wednesday night, the family of several police officers had gathered at the police headquarters and on Thursday they again flocked to the Akota police line.
“The two police officers violated the rules set for the police about the use of social media,” said a senior police officer.
However, many police in the entire state, have demonstrated solidarity with protests and sharing photos and videos from agitation on social media.
