This study was written by Prof.
Dileep Mavankar, Director, Dr.
Komal Shah, Faculty Member, and Varna V P and Ujeeta Sharma, Iiph-g students.
“We do reviews about job reviews on the field from the start of the pandemic until January 2022,” Shah said.
“Of the 10 global resources, three written by Indian experts.
They revealed that vitamin D supplements reduce the risk of death, fixed ICU, and ventilator requirements in covid patients treated in hospitals.” This study shows that vitamins reduce the risk of death of 52 % and mechanical ventilation with 46% adjuvant therapy.
Experts say that so far, vitamin D is not part of the recommended supplementation for covid and post-covid patients, which should not occur.
They add that supplements are cheap and easily available.
