Letter: Only a handful of individuals from Gujarat are part of the armed forces.
But it is a big pride problem when a Gujarati civilian can leave the mold on strength strength.
Meet Vispy Kharadi, who holds the Seven Guinness World Records, and a martial arts coach from Diamond City who is training border security forces, Indian first defense, in the most deadly battle techniques in the world – Krav Maga.
The format of this battle skill was developed for Israeli defense forces.
Kharadi has conducted two training sessions at the BSF Training Institutes in Pradesh and Hazaribagh’s Pradesh and Hazaribagh tappur in Jharkhand so far.
And, all pro bono services! ‘Sensei’ refused to receive costs for training.
The first Director General of BSF, K F Rustamji, is a parsi like Kharadi.
Rustamji has been awarded Padma Bhushan for his example and claimed to be the only police officer in a respected country with the second highest civilian award until now.
“No one is proud than training the same power that has Parsi as his first DG,” Kharadi said, added that he felt honored to train BSF Jawan.
“At present only the National Security Guard, Jawan gets Krav-Maga training and it’s also directly from Israel,” he added.
“I tried to train Krav-Maga and Kudo to Jawan because they needed a form of fighting skills at the border,” Kharadi said.
The first phase of training for the BSF and Jawan Command Unit has been completed.
But their training for some phases will continue.
Kharadi did not teach Krav-Maga’s skills to civilians because they were the deadliest form of combat skills.
“As part of my female defense training session, however, I use some IT tactics,” he said.
Explaining Krav-Maga, Kharadi said that the specialization of this form was that he trained individuals for armed and unarmed battles.
“I also took training for various levels of this form and my coach was trained in Israel from experts,” he said, refusing to divulge various training segments for professional confidentiality.
Jawan was trained for stressful inoculation training also to manage panic in a better way.
“Some of our homes were posted in disrupted civil regions therefore we trained them to protect themselves in a MOB attack,” Kharadi said, who acted in several Bollywood films too.
