Gandhinagar: After giving a nod to class 12 and college to continue offline education last week, the Gujarat government on Thursday announced that grade 9 to 11 can also be started from July 26, depending on a capacity of 50 percent of the parents of students.
With Daily Covid cases in the state down to two digits, the state government has decided to open universities, polytechnics and grade 12 of July 15.
On Thursday, a meeting of the core committee, chaired by Minister of Main Vijay Rupani, decided to extend the facilities to class 9 to 11.

However, there was no decision about the reopening of elementary school.
Likewise with SOP issued for universities and polytechnics, schools that conduct offline education must maintain a capacity of 50 percent and strictly follow the Covid control guidelines.
The state government also mandates that educational institutions have received previous approval from parents of students present.
Attendance has also been made voluntary.
Previously, the state government also allowed all training / lecture classes from grade 9 to postgraduate and competitive exams to function from July 10.
All of these institutions must follow all Covid-19 SOPs and perform functions with a capacity of 50 percent, while all staff must also have the first dose of vaccines on July 31.
Gujarat reported 34 Covid cases on Thursday and no death, while 53 patients were repatriated.
