JAIPUR: Firearms being straight from pockets to solve minor banter and confrontations have become prevalent in Kota, because of easy access to firearms from neighboring Madhya Pradesh.
Since January 2020, Kota has observed three murders where guns were used along with use of firearms for controlling small altercations.
A day following a commission representative handling fruits and veggies was targeted at six unidentified guys here, TOI talked to senior police officers to become first-hand info on increasing incidents of firing power being utilized to deal with small scuffles.
“A 38-year-old bass dealer was shot dead following a little altercation beneath Kaithunipole police station area here in January 2020.
Ever since that time, Kota has seen three murder cases where guns were used.
In these instances, it was discovered that large part of the assailants were first timers and effortless money and effortless access to firearms pulled them to offense,” said a senior police officer from Kota.
Even dealers are becoming intimidated with strikes in their own counterparts.
“I believe that the company and dealer community has been intimidated.

Former DGP Omendra Bhardwaj said,”I believe easy access to guns may be why.
Authorities will need to really go for huge crackdown on inter-state arms traders.” Kota SP Vikas Pathak stated,”In most of the previous instances, we’ve made arrests and detained were charge-sheeted.
We also run campaigns against the use of guns and detain individuals below the firearms Act.

So far as Monday’s episode is concerned, we’ve discovered four out of both guys and certainly will make arrests.” Pathak confessed that arms traders of Madhya Pradesh are busy in Kota.
“We are able to intensify the campaign against arms traders,” he further added.
ADG (offense ) Ravi Prakash Meherda explained,”In our meetings, we’d raised concerns with this.
I shall repeat to IGs and SPs to keep crackdown on illegal use of guns.”
