Noida: Opening a shot for a birthday celebration in Greater Noida has landed two security personnel from the housing community in prison because they have been ordered due to negligence and endangering life, police said on Friday.
The police have also initiated an action to cancel the second license of firearms used by security personnel from private agents, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner of the Additional Police (Central Nida) Eamaran G said the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m.
on Friday on the paramount emotional community below the Bibrakh police station.
“An episode video appeared on social media and local police found out to immediately shoot the celebration.
Some people celebrate birthdays there and two security guards have opened fire in the air during the celebration,” said Elamaran.
“The two guards had been arrested and the weapons were confiscated.
A process has also begun because it canceled the license of these weapons,” the officer said.
The police have also gathered the identity of the people who celebrated their birthdays and asked the security guard to open fire, he said, adding a medium search to ensure their initial arrest.
A pine has been submitted to the Bibrakh police station under the Section of the Indian Code 286 (negligent behavior in connection with explosives) and 336 (endangering human life or other people’s safety), police said.
The accusation under the ARM acted was also called against the duo, added the police.
The shooting of celebrations at public events is prohibited at Uttar Pradesh, according to officials, with the district police and the government also warned people to such practices and the use of firearms illegally after a series of victims and injuries in similar incidents in the state.
