Gurgaon 1st Dengue Ward set up in a civil hospital

Gurgaon: At least 10 people feel positive for dengue fever in a rapid fever survey conducted throughout the city in the last three days.
32 cases of dengue fever have been reported this season so far.
The Ministry of Health has established 37 fever surveillance units throughout the city.
In addition, he had established dengue nobles in a civil hospital in sector 10.
Previously, only 10 beds available for dengue fever patients in the hospital emergency ward.
Because of the increasing number of cases, Dedicated Ward Denge has been arranged.
Meanwhile, all other hospitals have been alert.
The Ministry of Health held a meeting with MCG officials on Monday to assess the status of fogging and larval samples.
“We have prepared a special unit for dengue fever patients.
Also, we added 12 beds in the emergency ward.
We only have 10 beds for cases of dengue fever.
Because the number is increasing, we add more beds to accommodate patients,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
To do a broad fogging, the Ministry of Health has shared a hotspot mapped by Geo with MCG officials.
These include areas such as Wazirabad, Palam Vihar, Basai, Kanhai colony, Sarhaul Village, Sector 21 A, Sector 39, Sector 12 A, Sector 47, Dharam Colonies, Sector 12, Udyog Vihar Phase-1 and Jharsa Village.
“We have formed 13 fast response teams, which monitor hotspots where cases of dengue fever have been reported,” he added.
CMO shows that the city received dengue fever patients from the closest district, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
So far, there are no deaths related to Dengue reported in the city.
Doctors have advised residents to wear full arm clothes and use mosquito drugs.
“The diseases that are transmitted through vectors are on the rise even though there is an increase in moisture level.
Mosquito which causes dengue breed in fresh water and needs a week for larvae to hatch,” said a doctor in a civil hospital.
In 2015, Gurgaon had reported a large number of cases of dengue fever (451).
That number was later dipped in 86 in 2016, 66 in 2017 and rose slightly 93 in 2018.
In 2019, a total of 22 cases of dengue fever were reported in the city, and the number rose to 51 by 2020.
