Gurgaon: Realty sector seems to get strength after the second covid wave, with cities in Delhi-NCR boast of housing sales of 10,220 units in the third quarter of this year compared to 5,210 units during the same period the previous year, according to the latest report of the Anarock Real Estate Consultant .
Cities, including Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and others, together witnessed a 96% increase in housing sales, 24% more new launch and a 3% decline in unsold inventories.
While the third quarter previously saw 6,810 launched in these cities, the latest quarter saw 8,420 launched.
Gurgaon led the leap in housing sales with a 129% increase, from 1,680 units sold at Q3 2020 to 3,850 units in Q3 2021, followed by Noida who saw an increase of 116%, of 1,450 units to 1,450 units.
Noida was followed by Delhi (100%), Ghaziabad (84%) and Greater Noida (58%).
As far as the new launch, Noida saw the biggest leap, 415%, with 1,030 launching this quarter compared to 200 launches during the same period last year.
Gurgaon (74%) stood in second place with 5,510 launched at Q3 2021 against 3.170 launch in the last quarter.
Anubhav Jain, CEO, Group Silverglades, said the realty sector witnessed a significant increase in investigations and transactions.
“Location and quality of construction are key factors and we have been able to sell our newly launched projects because of this advantage.
Other factors such as low interest rates and the need for larger homes also encourage demand,” he said.
Navdeep Sardana, CMD from the elite land base, said Gurgaon has dominated the old NCR real estate market and with the current festival season, the overall proportion of sales is expected to increase significantly.
“The luxury segment (above Hospital 1 Crore) stands out in the city, where demand has exceeded supply.
Projects and healthy living projects that bring people closer to the environment also show great potential to continue strong sales performance,” he said.
Yukti Nagpal, Director, Gulshan Homes, said the housing market in Noida saw a boost for premium property.
“Premium premium in projects ready to move and less than construction have seen a large demand in 2021.
