Gurgaon: There is no stop for encroachment in Aravalis near the biodiversity park on DLF 3, with one of the illegal roads is now paved with concrete.
But the land where the road is located called ‘Gair Mumkin Pahar’ (not incorporated hills) in the income record, which makes non-forest activities such as cutting trees and construction there.
The road problem is already at the National Green Tribunal (NGT), and the trial will come next month.
The villagers in the area started work using the Gurgaon City (MCG) company – the ability to tenders for road construction in different areas.
But there is no area with a block number mentioned in the tender, DLF 3 residents accused, adding that it was just eyewash.
Residents of DLF 3 told that the road raised was located behind the Aravali biodiversity park and extended from the colony in V-10 on V-Block.
MCG tender for road construction in V-40 but, there is no V-40 in the area.
“A contractor lay concrete on the illegal road after getting a tender RS 40 lakh from MCG.
The contract is related to the road in V-40, but the work is taking place at the V10.
It seems to be a fraud.
The tender floated on behalf of V-40 because of the road on V -10 is a subjudice, “said Rohan Singh, a resident.
Encroachment, he added, has cut trees and damage other trees by removing waste on them.
Residents said that the work was a violation of NGT’s norms.
“How are trees cut regularly in that area? The land levels up, and C & D waste will be dumped regularly here.
However, there has been no action taken on the ground.
We are waiting for our turn to be heard by NGT.
This case is also located In the Punjab High Court and Haryana, “Sunny, residents, said.
DLF 3 residents, who have submitted a request related to the road with NGT in August last year, said that MCG had land and had to ensure that no non-forest activities were carried out there.
Toi in September and January last year reported that the road more than 1.5 km had been built from DLF 3 to forest areas, with farm houses, milk and slums that destroyed the area and destroyed natural green cover.
The villagers have tried to capture the biodiversity park as well, residents accuse.
In the trial on August 10, 2020, Chairman Ngt Adarsh Kumar Goel has observed, “Before considering this problem further, we feel the need to find factual reports from the combined committee of division, Gurgaon and MCG forest officers, in it a month.” Civic’s body was informed about illegal construction in ‘Gair Mumkin Pahar’.
In anonymous conditions, a MCG official said, “We have asked our team to prepare a report about this problem.”
