Gurgaon: The Ministry of Health receives around 12,000 covishield doses on Saturday and will continue vaccination on government session sites on Monday.
Officials from the department said government sites would not provide vaccines on Sunday.
“We have enough Covaxin stocks and receive around 12,000 doses of covishield on Saturday night.
We will not manage vaccines on Sundays because our nursing staff has an examination scheduled for that day.
We will continue vaccination at the government location on Monday,” said the officer District immunization, Dr.
MP Singh.
On Saturday, Gurgaon was inoculating 7,743 people, including 5,100 people in the 18-44 age group while 2,347 were over 45 years old.
86 health workers and 210 frontline workers were also vaccinated.
Inoculation is carried out in 48 session sites arranged in all government and private health facilities.
In addition, 100 people were given a dose of Sputnik V.
Vice Commissioner Gurgaon Dr.
Yash Garg appealed to people to be vaccinated and told those who had received both doses must also encourage others to be investigated.
Meanwhile, the city reported six new Covid cases on Saturday, taking the case calculation to 1,80,841.
There are no deaths reported.
With this, Gurgaon now has 79 active cases.
Of these, 70 patients were in house isolation while nine were in a Covid hospital and a dedicated health center.
In addition, seven Covid patients recovered on Saturday, took the total recovery to 1,79,843.
In the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health has carried out 3,515 tests, where 737 is a quick antigen test and 2,778 RT-PCR.
