It’s also likely to establish a backup facility using 125 Covid beds for children.
“We’re collating a database to assess the paediatric infrastructure readily available at this time and will establish a makeshift center.
We’re also planning a normal template of the gear needed for paediatric patients,” deputy commissioner Dr Yash Garg told TOI.
Lately, the government officials held a meeting with all both paediatric hospitals in town to talk about upscaling that the infrastructure.
The health department has sent directions to the personal hospitals throughout the town to be ready for another Covid wave.

Thus, to fight the next wave, you’re advised to maintain PICU and NICU prepared with different paediatric wards on your hospital ahead of time, together with oxygen source and other essential tools / gear,” read the letter delivered by the Gurgaon civil physician into the hospitals.
“We’ve requested the hospitals Gurgaon to update their paediatric ICU (PICU) and neonatal ICU (NICU) so they are prepared,” explained Dr Virender Yadav, Gurgaon primary medical officer.
