Gurgaon: Two more O2 plants in the city, one of which is in a civil hospital

Gurgaon: Two New Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plants are operational on Thursday in Gurgaon.
One of them was actually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the launch of Mega from other PSA plants throughout the country while the second was inaugurated by the Mayor of Madhu Azad.
The first is the factory of the PSA 1,000 liter Oxygen generation which is located in the 10 civil hospital sector.
This is one of the 40 PSA factories that Haryana has received from the central government under PM funds.
The second oxygen factory has a capacity of 1,650 liters and is located at Tau Devi Lal Stadium.
With this new addition, the calculation of PSA Tally is now standing at 12 for government facilities in Gurgaon.
“During an emergency, we also have facilities to get the cylinder filled with the stadium Tau Devi Lal.
We get the city prepared if we have the third wave,” said Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon.
With the aim of ensuring that health facilities will avoid disruption of oxygen supply, reducing dependence on LMO storage (liquid oxygen) and supply of cylinders or tanks, the installation of PSA plants is initiated throughout the region.
“We make the government regulate independently in terms of oxygen supply.
We have also requested private hospitals with more than 50 sleep capacity to install the earliest PSA plants.

At present, Haryana has 79 PSA factories.
There are two 250 LPM (liter per minute) oxygen plants at the SOHNA Hospital and Pataudi.
Likewise, there are 100 LMP oxygen plants in the polyclinic, sector-31 and there are also 500, 250 and 1,000 LPM oxygen factories in civil hospitals in Sector-10.
Four 100 LPM factories in four public health centers.
During the covid case peak in Gurgaon, oxygen demand rose to 55 metric tons which is now in less than 20 metric tons.
