Gurgaon’s first blood donor donor portal was launched

Gurgaon: Following the increase in demand blood canines in the city, CGS Hospital in DLF-3 – Named after a three-pet, Hug, Goldy and Whitty – on Tuesday launched a registry portal for blood donation.
Just like humans, animals also suffer from life-threatening diseases and maintain wounds in accidents where they need blood transfusion immediately.
And because there are no animal blood banks in Gurgaon at this time, this portal aims to provide assistance to parents of pets.
“The most common, dogs are affected by fever during the rainy season, as a result of where teeth can need direct blood transfusion,” said Dr.
Salish Whitney Correia, a veterinarian at CGS Hospital.
“Pets will be listed on the portal so that every time there are requirements, blood can be arranged.
We prepare an online directory for city animal lovers and also.” Pet parents are a very pleasant place.
“Making an online donor registry that can be pursued by parents or pet doctors when needed will be a big assistance,” Vipul Khurana said, who had Zeus, an eight-year-old Labrador.
“Because Gurgaon does not have the right animal blood bank, providing such facilities is a gift because there is a chance that pets may not have a lot of time to get to a larger hospital if there is a serious accident.
Donor networks are needed in the city,” said Rajiv Anand, who has three cats.
Because dogs have more than 12 groups of blood, veterinarians generally recommend blood typing tests.
“Because we currently do not have a blood bank in Delhi-NCR for fangs, this blood donor registry is an opportunity to ensure that there are no compatible blood rejected animals,” Correia said.
For animals, the process is complicated in terms of blood transfusion.
“Blood was taken from the jugular (large) vein in the dog’s neck and then the group was identified using a high-tech engine owned by most disgagostic centers,” said Sunil Kaushik from Indie Love Animal Shelter in Gurgaon’s 63a.
“Even though some dogs are universal donors, it’s always better for pet parents to have full knowledge about their pet blood type if there is a need or they want to contribute to the same blood type,” said PK Arora, a veterinarian.
Veterinarians also show that every dog weighs 25 kg or more can donate blood.
Donor animals should not have any medication.
