Gurugram: The Enforcement Team of the City Department and State Planning (DTCP) on Tuesday destroyed three illegal colonies developed on seven hectares of major farmland in three Farrukhnagar villages.
During drives, road networks, limit walls and one lower structure of construction are destroyed using EardMovers.
The locals opposed the drive, alleged that property dealers deceived them by hiding facts and they lost the money obtained with difficulty.
The department has received complaints about illegal colonies carved in Khwaspur, Babra and Bakipur Village Farrukhnagar violated Haryana’s development and regulations from urban laws.
The District of District Planner (Enforcement) Batth Hospital said as soon as the team reached the site along with two Earthmovers, locals opposed the drive.
They blocked the road and accused that no previous information provided to them about the drive, also did not show the notification presented to the developer.
“When the DTCP team told them that the colony was being developed without permission from the authorities, local residents claimed that they had been cheated and their lifetime savings at stake,” Batth said.
He said the police had to dissolve the crowd to ensure that demolition was carried out.
“Some plots have been sold and construction is taking place in this plot,” DTP added.
Ashish Sharma City Assistant Planner said the colony was in the early stages of development.
The road network has been developed and planned on progress.
He said the builder also built a property dealer office to sell the remaining plots.
“Some property dealers provoked locals against the team, who behaved badly with officials,” he said.
After the drive, the officials warned the owner of the plot not to start construction activities again, a strict action failed to be taken against them.
He said the builder and other people behind the engraving of this illegal colony were identified and FIR would be registered against them.
