Gurugram: Namaz will be held under heavy security in the city on Friday with a variety of local clothing that threatens to protest on prayer session sites.
In the second petition this week opposed Namaz in the Open area, Arya Kendriya Sabha, a clothing that described itself as ‘Central Body’ for various Aryj’s entities, on Thursday submitting a memorandum to the Gurugram government demanding a complete ban in an open area “to Maintain peace and harmony in the city “.
“Namaz is being offered in public places and this has led to confrontation and conflict.
Public land should not be used for religious activities.
We also oppose when someone built a temple on public land, in the same way as we are now opposed to the name of the government , “said Laxman Pahuja, who represents the clothes.
On Tuesday, Samyukt Hindu Sangharsh Samiti, umbrella clothing from various local groups who had led protests against Friday prayers in the open room in 2018, had also submitted the same memorandum.
Pressure tactics similar to 2018 when several Fringe groups protested throughout the city, after which administration set 37 places for Namaz.
The police said they had made complicated security settings at sensitive points.
“We will not let anyone disturb Friday prayers and urge people not to violate the law,” said ACP Aman Yadav.
Senior officials at the police and administration told TII they had received clear direction from above that the government did not want any kind of disorder.
“Nothing will be allowed to disturb the name in the appointed places,” said an official.
Meanwhile, the Muslim furniture shop owner on Thursday filed a police complaint in the 14 police station on Friday’s prayer held in front of his shop in Sector 12.
Last week, the protesters went down in his shop as long as Namaz, shouted slogans.
Mehmood Khan, a complainant, claimed he had raised this problem with Maulvi but was ignored.
“We asked Imam not to regulate the church in front of our store.
We were told that prayers were held with government permits,” Allegedly Khan.
He added that he was not pressed or forced to file a complaint of the police.
Shehzad Khan from Muslim Ekta Manches said the venue of this sector was provided as an alternative site by administration after a protest on behalf elsewhere.
“We don’t want conflict and are ready to move to alternative sites, provided the government throws it out,” Khan said.
He added that this group planned to offer Namaz in Sector 12 on Friday and hoped to be given adequate security by the police and administration.
The previous Muslim groups told TOI city only had 13 mosques, which was far from enough to accommodate the trial-namaz.
