Gurugram: A total of 59 Covid cases were reported in the city on Saturday, taking it beyond 200 marks.
The highest cases have been reported in one day in the past six months.
The city now has 219 active cases.
Officials said the last time the city had more than 200 active cases on June 20, when there were 218 patients.
Increased daily cases have now become the cause of concern for the authorities.
Of the 16 new cases on December 20 to 59 cases after five days, the city has reported a continuous rising trend recently.
Tally as a whole has now jumped to 1.82.146.
So it has a level of participant, which increased from 0.9% on Friday to 1.1% on Saturday.
Health officials said it was time for people to understand that they had to avoid unnecessary trips – the majority of recent cases in this city had a history of travel.
“We have analyzed everyday cases and found that at least 70% of patients have a history of travel between countries.
People may not come out unless it is absolutely necessary.
The state government has imposed several restrictions and announces nighttime hours,” said Virender Yadav, a medical officer.

City, meanwhile, registered 14 recovery, took the total recovery to 1.81,000.
In the last 24 hours, 5,046 tests were carried out, 4,473 of them used the RT-PCR method.
