Gurugram: Fernhill buyers protest 11 years delay in flat subgrades

Gurugram: A group of home buyers from Ansal Fernhill, a housing project in Sector 91, on Saturday protests against developers for their delayed flats ownership.
About 70 home buyers, along with women, children and senior citizens, gathered at the project location in the morning, held posters and increased the slogan against the developer for failing to complete the project even 11 years after the launch.
Although paying 95% -100% of project costs, home buyers claim they don’t have their flats.
Munish Abrol, President of the Fernhill Flat Buyer’s Welfare Association, said that “this project was launched in 2010 and developers took 30-40% of the flats fees from buyers.
After struggling for years, developers finally gave us the buyer’s buyer agreement in 2014 , with the 2018 deadline.
Until now, only two of the 14 towers were 95% complete and six were 40-50%.
“The buyer of a house that was aggrieved approached the National Law of Tribunal (NCLT) against the developer in February this year.
Bibuthi Biswas, Secretary of Fernhill Flat Buyers Association, said, “For three years, we tried to reach the developer and look for construction clarity but had not received a response.
We have now decided to fight for our rights together.” Despite recurring efforts, the official representative of the developer did not can be contacted.
