Gurugram: Hindutva activist on Friday filed a police complaint against “Namaz” in the open room, saying this practice was carried out in non-residential places even though Haryana CM made a statement against it.
Complaints submitted at UDYOG VIHAR and Sector Police Station 29.
CM clearly ordered no tolerance of ‘Namaz’ in the open and no official announcement that had been made so far about the designated places, claiming to be advocate Kulbhushan Bhardwaj, one complainant.
Administration and police must take action, he said.
Meanwhile, Muslims offer prayers in 20 specified places, six of them are open spaces.
Police sources say some Hindutva activists try to disrupt prayer or make noise but decorated.
Some Muslims have gathered in open space in sector 40 for prayer but the police sent them back because the site was not set by administration.
One of them, Mohammad Salim Kashmi, said they prayed there for the past two weeks but police denied them permission today and they will take problems with administration.
According to the police, several members of the Hindu Sangthan Manvta led by Praveen Yadav reached Shyam Chowk but sent.
