Gurugram: The perpetrator was previously arrested from Bijnor Uttar Pradesh on Monday, after the body’s discovery in sector 37 four days ago.
The police have identified the murder accused of Sandeep aka the door, who previously spent four years in prison for rape of gangs and theft at Muzaffarnagar up.
On November 11, Arun Kumar’s body, who came from Samastipur Bihar, was found lying in the bushes, with blood flowing from his head and injury around his neck.
During the police interrogation, Sandeep was allegedly revealed that he drank alcohol with the victim when they entered the heated argument.
The defendant was angry and hit the victim in his head with a helmet, police said.
After that, Sandeep was suspected of slitting Kumar’s throat with sharp objects and escaped from the place on his scooter.
However, a few minutes later, Sandeep visited the crime scene to check whether the victim was still alive, police said.
Sandeep allegedly found Kumar groaning in pain and then kept throwing the stone until he died.
“The murder is terrible, and after seeing the body, we think the criminal is not an ordinary human.
With the help of our sources, technical staff and police systems, we can resolve this case,” said a police officer.
Sandeep had brought a fake aadhar card that belonged to his uncle’s son to hide his identity, police said.
He reportedly lived in Gurugram with a name made-made, Ashok.
During the last three months, Sandeep worked at a medical store in Gurugram and was friends with the victims during that time, added the police.
“The defendant has a criminal history and was imprisoned for four years from 2015 to 2019.
His crimes ranged from gang rape to theft and murder,” said a police officer.
The police have recovered a scooter from Sandeep.
