Gurugram: Municipal Corporation Manesar (MCM) has floated tenders to build a new road that connects Vipul Lavanya people to the main road in the 81 sector – the old demands of the people of the community.
“The length of the road will be 800 meters and the project is estimated to cost 78 lakh Rs.
The contractor will be given three months to complete road construction work,” said Vijay Dhaka, Superintending Engineer, MCM.
Vipul Lavanya residents have demanded a connecting road for the past three years.
Residents have knocked on the door of the corporation, administration and political leaders.
With the establishment of a new corporation in Manesar, residents say that their expectations to get an updated road.
Residents, in their own capacity, have filled the crater at Kutcha Road several times in the past few years to make it a little motorbike.
“After MCM was formed last December, we thought we would get the road before the rainy season.
But, the second wave hit and the work was delayed.
The corporation has now invited tender and has given us a ray of hope that we will soon have a way.
I have talked to the people company engineer and they say that even the base of the road does not exist.
Even if you spend Rs 10 lakh on the road, it will clean up in the first bathroom rainy season.
The situation is worse, especially during the rainy season, because the road is not there, “said Shibashish Rudra , a resident.
