Gurugram: The health department proposes four new micro detention zones on Sundays, when the city recorded 68 Covid cases, the highest in the past six months.
After Lull for three months, the Covid case had begun to see uptick again.
In December 26, the city has added 447 new Covid cases, 269 of them are active.
From this patient, 267 recovered at home.
On Sunday, 68 people were tested positively.
The number of patients is the highest since June 1, when there are 89 cases.
But this recent increase in cases can also be attributed to the fact that Gurugram has intensified testing lately.
Between December 19 and Sunday, the number of tests had increased from 3,666 to 5,083.
Officials said the four fields proposed for the micro detention zone had three or more cases each.
The proposed area was flat on the tower 1 of the Amber Court Essel tower in Sector 28, which has five active cases; Purple tulips in sector 69, where there are four active cases; Blok C Palam Vihar, with three patients, and a house in sector 45 with three cases.
Door-to-door checks will be carried out in homes in this area along with ordinary sanitization.
These areas can be notified after 14 days, depending on the number of cases.
At present, the city has nine micron detention zones in three fields.
“We have observed the increase in cases because of general concessions in maintaining the Covid protocol.
Many patients are interrelated.
It is seen that one member with a recent history of travel infecting others in the family after returning home.
We begged people to isolate themselves They themselves if they start observing Covid symptoms, “said Virender Yadav, the head of the medical officer.
Because most patients were in house isolation, the police had monitored their movements by giving the geographical tag of their telephone number.
On December 16, the district government had told nine detention zones.
Before that on November 18, the city had three detention zones, which was then notified.
The number of detention zones has peaked during the second wave in April and May.
The idea behind the detention zone is to capture the spread of infection with early detection of patients and violate the transmission chain.
The protocol includes geographical quarantine, social distance, increased supervision and intensive testing.
