GURUGRAM: A Gurugram-based NGO, that claims to have already been helping Covid-19 patients receive medical oxygen tanks, on Thursday alleged that its aid facility has been vandalized by some unknown folks.
NGO Hemkunt Foundation, which also supplies oxygen assistance to Covid patients using breathing distress, even alleged its O2 facility here was ruined forcefully and possessions ruined.
Even the NGO’s community development manager, Harteerath Singh, alleged that both beds were ruined and banners and tents have been torn down by a few”goons”.
“We’ve lodged a complaint with the authorities,” he told reporters.
He stated some”neighborhood goons” who touched the place also took off electricity generators and reduce the electricity source.
“Our CCTVs were cut since generators were removed,” he explained.
“We’re blessed that we didn’t have some patients since it had been the dawn.
But folks were still coming to refill their own oxygen tanks,” he explained.
“I’ve been getting death threats for the last couple of days and the authorities are told about it,” he explained.
At an tweet, the Foundation stated,”Our O2 Centre in Gurugram was ruined forcefully now and our possessions were ruined”.
“To keep on assisting everyone in need, we want access to 20,000 square feet of area in or close to the Gurugram City Centre.
Please help us spread the phrase,” the conversation mentioned.
Police said that they have gotten a complaint in the Foundation concerning the event and the issue has been under investigation.
They stated preliminary investigations have shown that the location in Sector 61 in which the NGO had put up its oxygen center was taken on rent by way of a tent home which had then let it prepare the centre.
“A question is really on in the situation.
Preliminary investigations show that the Foundation had obtained the distance from the tent home owner according to a verbal arrangement.
“When there have been no patients in the center for past couple of days, they’d requested them to vacate the area.
A dispute has seemingly risen.
We’re exploring who was engaged in vandalizing the centre,” a police officer said.
