Gurugram: The police on Tuesday called a more stringent part of the IPC in Fir which was submitted last week against Chintels MD Ashok Solomon and the others for the February 10th cave in Paradiso who left two residents of the condo die.
FIR, registered with complaints from the husband of one of the victims of the cave-inside, initially requested part 304a (causing death from negligence), which brought a maximum sentence of two years.
On Tuesday, this was converted to section 304 (guilty murder did not amount to murder), where the defendant could be imprisoned for 10 years.
Five flats of towers from Paradiso from the sixth floor to part of the straight line in February 10A police officers said the change was made based on a statement from the residents of Tower D from Paradiso, where five flats from the second floor were partly collapsed in a straight line.
In a statement recorded by residents, they accused them of telling developers about cracks that appeared on the walls and plaster who peeled on several occasions, police said.
They also have emails exchanged between various occupants and developers about poor construction quality and worries they have about safety.
Special investigation team (sitting) was formed to investigate the collapse also looking for a solomon background, which they had contacted Delhi police.
“Investigation is ongoing.
We will record the suspect’s statement to get more details.
We also relate to Delhi’s police to get a note,” said ACP (UDYOG VIHAR) Rajeev Yadav, which is part of sitting.
Changes in parts are significant because, according to the command of the Supreme Court, the arrest is not mandatory in cases where a maximum sentence is less than seven years.
With part 304 being called now, this is no longer valid.
Gathering developers under a tighter part is between seven demands placed by residents of Paradiso, who started the relay hunger attack on Monday, before the government.
The other FIR was submitted last week on charges of counterfeiting and cheating on complaints from the City Department and Planning State on Director of Chintels, Builders of Bhayana Contractors, and Structural Engineers and Paradiso Architects.
