Gurugram: According to a report prepared by the population of Malibu Towne, around Rs 130 Crore is needed to complete the pending infrastructure work in the community.
The community residents have written to the MCG and the City and State Meeting Department (DTCP) with deficiency infrastructure details, work that needs to be done and estimated costs.
Malibu Towne is between 11 private developer colonies that are expected to be taken over by MCG.
The Civic body will conduct its own survey of infrastructure that lacks before the takeover of the colony.
Malibu Estate Private Ltd has developed Malibu Towne in 205 hectares in the Sector 50.
DTCP has taken a series of actions against colony developers for various violations.
The residents of the colony have handened hands to form a Malibu Towne population group to take problems.
Nirvair Singh, Member of the Malibu Towne population group, said, “Through newspaper reports, we know that MCG gets ready to take over Malibu Towne.
This is a good step because Malibu Towne needs to be taken over.
The developer does not take adequate steps To fulfill all compulsory services.
“This colony is offered to the public in 1985 and after that, the development began.
When the colony grows and new rules far to place, many new developments occur.
The developer submitted a revised plan to DTCP in 2016 and they agreed to the same thing with some conditions.
“Now remembering a rampant development, a lot of pressure on colonial infrastructure and needs to be added,” said Swapnila Mehta from a group of citizens, adding that the infrastructure deficit includes an electric substation, installation of internal cables, road lights, relaying roads, waste and rainwater drainage systems include .
“The developer has collected infrastructure development costs (IDC) of each resident owner or property because of their duty to see that the right infrastructure is provided,” said Singh.
“During our interaction with MCG, we have shown various shortcomings.
We ask DTCP to record our estimates and ensure that developers comply with compulsory services before being submitted,” said a resident.
MCG officials say that according to the norm, they will conduct surveys themselves to map deficit infrastructure and need costs.
A senior MCG officer added that the developer had the responsibility to complete the deficit work before being submitted.
If the developer fails to do it, then they will be asked to deposit the required amount needed for the completion of the work.
DTCP officials say MCG will prepare the estimated deficit infrastructure and they will ensure developers adhere to government norms.
