Gurugram: Sohna raised the road to be ready in June 2022, said Nhai

Gurugram: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set June 2022 as a revised deadline for the SOHNA high road project.
Earlier this week, the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the project is likely to be completed in March next year.
Previously, the deadline this year this year.
However, NHAI officials said the project – especially stretching between Subhash Chowk and Badshapur – would take eight to nine months to solve it.
The highway authority said it had prepared a revised action plan after reviewing the status of work and the situation on the ground from the 22km long road.
However, Badshapur on SOHNA stretch, it might be prepared earlier because the 85% of the work on the stretch has been completed.
“We have reviewed the project status.
While the progress of stretching between Badshapur to SOHNA satisfies with almost 85% of the work completed, the rate of construction on the stretch between Subhash Chowk and Badshapur has been very slow and only 50% -60% of it has been completed so far,” said A senior Nhai official.
“We have collected plans to speed up work.
Certain work, especially those carried out in the field of barcitations, can be done day and night to close the time for the last few months because of the pandemic and labor crisis,” the official added.
With the overall project cost of 1,300 crore, two different institutions are given a contract to complete an ambitious high-speed corridor.
Nhai is building several flyovers and underpasses along stretching to provide signal free parts to commuters.
This will not only be Dekongest Vatika Chowk, but also reduces travel time between Gurugram and Alwar.
Construction began in 2018 and NHAI is expected to complete all work in 25 months.
“Every time the project took steps, there was a road barrier.
In 2019, a prolonged ban on construction activities cost more than two months.
The first half of 2020 saw no work because of the locking, while in the second half we continued to wait for the NHAI investigation into the collapse of the road Malang.
If everything goes well and we don’t face other obstacles, we will be able to meet the deadline, “said an Oriental Engineering Officer, a contractor who built a stretch between Subhash Chowk and Badshapur.
