Gurugram: The Ministry of Health, on Tuesday asked the Ministry of Education to ensure that all children in the bracket aged 15-17 in Gurgaon received their first covaxin dose before April 1 and warned that children without the first dose would not be allowed to attend classes when school reopened.
The direction came only three days after the Minister of Health Anil Vig issued direction on Twitter, said the same thing.
According to the Ministry of Education, it is very helpful in increasing the speed of vaccination in the bracket aged 15-17 and overseeing the drive of vaccination in schools throughout the state.
“We have told all schools to upload vaccination data on the AVSAR Mobile application to get a clear picture of the situation so we can assess how many children are vaccinated every day,” Vivek Kalia, an additional director, Haryana, said.
A total of 92,340 children, almost 61% of the 15-17 populations were eligible for vaccination, had received the first dose since January 3, but the target was 1.51 lakh children.
There are 127 governments and 232 private schools in Gurgaon, which are now preparing for children’s databases that are eligible to ensure that all get the first dose immediately.
“I am sure that all children who meet the requirements in our school will be vaccinated in April 1.
We have prepared a list of children who are eligible for vaccination; Driving ongoing in school is being carried out based on the data,” Peasa Sharma, Principal, Ryan International School, Sohna, said.
The vaccination rate has been smooth, Sharma added.
“Whether parents and children are passionate about it.
With increasing cases, students now want a vaccine,” he said.
Parents welcome direction too.
“I got my two children vaccinated last week.
It was very relieved.
I welcome the decision,” said Sikha Aggarwal, a resident of sector 48.
The Ministry of Health tried to increase the coverage of vaccination from his side.
On January 23, the Department will establish a vaccination camp in Gurudwara in the new colony, the Badi Church in Sheetla Colony, Hanuman Mandir in Ashok Vihar, Mosque Anjuman Jama in Sector 57 and Jain Mandir in Audit Bazar.
On the five camps, children in the 15-17 bracket will get the first dose, and more than 60 people will get a booster dose.
On Tuesday, 2,059 people at the bracket aged 15-17 vaccinated in Gurgaon.
On the ninth day of the booster vaccination drive, 222 people got a dose of caution.
