New Delhi: Strong surface wind swept Delhi on Sunday, bringing an increase seen in air quality, even when authorities announce that the school will remain closed for physical classes until the order further remembers air pollution.
Officials said the Minister of Environment Delhi Gopal Rai will hold a high-level meeting to review the sidewalks imposed to contain high levels of pollution in the city.
After order from the Air Quality Management Commission, the Delhi government on Wednesday published 10 instructions, including the ban on the entry of trucks carrying goods that were not important to the city and closing of schools and colleges until further orders.
It has also forbidden construction and demolition activities in the city and has ordered its employees to work from home until Sunday (November 21).
“The Department of Environment has directed to close all Sunday schools.

The city recorded an average air quality index of 24 hours at 349, down from 374 on Saturday.
Neighbors Faridabad (377), Ghaziabad (319), Gurugram (364) and Noida (322) also recorded their air quality in the ‘very poor’ category.
RK Jenamani, a senior scientist at the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), said the wind speed reached up 20 kmps during the day, increasing the visibility of 800 meters in the morning to a range of 2,200 meters to 3,000 meters at Indira Gandhi International Airport and Safdarjung Airport.
