GUV biographical publishers use Raj Bhavan to sell books

Jaipur: Forced Biography of Governor Kalaraj Mishra for 27 universities in the state by the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (IIME) is the second step such as publishing.
In January 2020, Iime sent a letter to all state universities who said that ‘on instructions from the governor’s house, 25 copies of each coffee table – Jaipur – Indian gem and Marwadi Heritage – have been sent with bills’.
The publishing house charged Rs 2.03,750 for books that did not have MRP on them.
The letter, followed by a telephone call to the registrar of each university from the governor of the house, directed them to buy books.
The development of receiving a letter by IIME was confirmed by four V-cs contacted by TOI.
“I was shocked to read the letter directing us to buy books that were not academic valuable to students.
They have provided a reference to the governor’s house and before we can confirm with the Chancellor’s Office, the applicant has got a call to buy these books,” VC said remaining without choice but receive the books and clean the bill.
A registrar from the State University said that he had received a call from the Governor House to say that they could not say no call from the office from Chancellor.
The other VC said, “It doesn’t make sense to see that how private entities can dictate the requirements to us just because of the support he enjoyed in the big office.
They forced us to buy the governor’s biography because they knew they were successful in the past.” Sujata Taknet, one Researchers at IIME, told TII on July 5 said that it was a routine practice for them to visit the new governor in the state and serve coffee table books to them.
“We have visited the former Governor of Margaret Alva, Kalyan Singh and Mishra as soon as he was appointed here.
Since our book Jaipur – Indian gems like the Bible to Jaipur with a perspective of the past, now, and the future we provide to an important personality at This country, “said Taknet.
Toi said the Iime Director, D K Taknet, who refused to comment on the letter sent by them using the Reference Governor of Mishra.
