GZB Leads Among 5 Dists in Menstrual Hygiene, Muzaffarnagar 5: Survey

Noida: Comparison of five Western districts Based on the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) shows that Ghaziabad reported a maximum of 91.7% of women in the age group 15-24 maintaining menstrual hygiene, namely using sanitation pads, instead of cloth and other cleanliness steps.
At 78.1%, Muzaffarnagar reported a minimum percentage of women who maintain menstrual hygiene among the five districts surveyed.
Meanwhile, 89.6%, 83.6% and 79.0% of women were reported to maintain menstrual hygiene in GB Nagar, Meerut and Bulandshahr.
The 2019-21 (NFHS-5) survey, whose results became public in November 2021, relevant in the context of the day of sexual and reproductive health awareness which will be noticed on February 12.
Memoring the findings of the NFHS-4 (2015 -16 -16) and NFHS-5 surveys, Meerut shows a maximum increase, with a percentage of women who maintain menstrual hygiene increases by 22% from 61.2% in 2015-16% in 2019-21.
In second place was Bulandshahr, which showed an increase of 20% from 58.3% in 2015-16 to 79% in 2019-21.NFHS-5 further showed that GB Nagar reported a maximum of 76.3% of women in the age group 15-49 In 15-49 chose family planning steps, followed by Muzaffarnagar 73.2%, Meerut 72.4%, Bulandshahr 72.9% and Ghaziabad 72.7%.
Meanwhile, GB Nagar reported 89.6% of women using family planning methods, followed by Ghaziabad 72.7%, Meerut 72.4% and Muzzafnagar 73.2%.
Bulandshahr has shown a maximum increase of 15% from 57.8% in 2015 to 72.9% in 2019-21.

Until now, we strive to have more impacts of education and consciousness.
One of the main interventions is peer education.
Students, One boy and one woman, in all government schools receive training from our team about menstruation and other problems relating to adolescent health, and they will carry out information to other children.
In addition, 11 teams from NHM conduct training principals and teachers in 20,000 schools in 25 districts to attend each request from students related to teen health.
