Ghaziabad: A man has been captured by Ghaziabad’s police for allegedly trying to enter the Devi Dasna Temple with a knife.
Police said that the man was identified as Sumit, Indigenous Panipat.
He tried to enter the temple location with a sharp knife but was caught.
He was ordered under the ACT Arms section and further investigation was underway, said Akash Patel, ASP of Ghaziabad.
According to the police, checking strong worshipers entering the place of the temple was being carried out after a 10-year-old Muslim boy mistakenly entered the temple when he had to see relatives at the nearest government hospital.
While the Imam Chief of the Yati Narsymhan Temple Saraswati accused that the boy had entered the temple to kill him, the police investigation showed that the claims made by the boy were right.
After the incident, the police began to examine everyone, including minors, at the entry point of the temple to identify suspicious people.
On Sunday morning, the police identified the suspect while checking and recovering a knife from his ownership.
He was immediately arrested and taken to police custody.
He was also ordered under Act Act.
