Gzb ready with 124 vaccine sites for 15+ kids, 20k book slot

Noida / Ghaziabad: More than 120 sites have been regulated in Ghaziabad and 27 in GB Nagar for inoculation of children aged between 15 and 18 years from Monday, when vaccination is scheduled to start.
District health officials have been asked to ensure no mixing vaccines and adequate arrangements to attend beneficiaries for bad events after immunization (AEFI), they said.
Until the end of the night, more than 20,000 recipients in the age category have ordered slots for vaccination through the Cowin portal in Ghaziabad, while the data for GB Nagar is not available immediately.
The slot on the website opened for reservations after 5 pm on Saturday.
“Apart from 22 schools in the district, three health centers and two hospitals have been established as a vaccination center, where more than 1.15 doses of the lakh vaccine will be given for several weeks.
Super Special Pediatric Hospital and Postgraduate Teaching Institute (SSPHPGTI) at The Noida 30 sector, also called PGI’s child, will only tend to children, “said Dr Neeraj Tyagi, GB Nagar District Immunization Officer (DIO), told TI.
The district, he said, plans to provide 12,000-13,000 doses every day and has involved more than 100 health workers in the campaign.

The vaccine will also be given to beneficiaries in the 15-18 year category at the Bibrakh, Badalpur and 22 schools and 22 schools under the supervision of the doctor.
Felix Hospital, a private hospital, also started the 24×7 Covid vaccination center.
Hospital management said to attract more beneficiaries in their category will provide attractive prizes to each child after managing the dose.
Every child must also undergo registration, verification and health filtering before vaccination, officials said.
In Ghaziabad, the vaccine will be given to children in 81 schools and 43 health centers, Dr.
GP Mathuria, said an expert team will be present at all centers.
“There are no side effects seen in adults.
It is normal to have mild pain and fever but do not need to be afraid,” he added.
