Authorities in the US have captured a man to hack into an Apple iCloud user account and steal their intimate photos and videos, according to the report by TechRadar.
In accordance with the submission of the court, Hao Kuo Chi, a California resident, was found to conspire with other people to access private accounts of more than three hundred Apple customers in the US, with a campaign that extended at least September 2014.
According to the document from the US Justice Department, Chi “specifically looking for nude photos and young women’s videos” as soon as he entered the account.
He then traded this with another “conspirator”, some of which then leaked pictures and videos into the public domain.
How did he enter Apple safe iCloud? Chi uses a number of fake email accounts to disguise as members of Apple customer support and are reported to have obtained login credentials (Apple IDs and passwords) from Apple iCloud users targeted from themselves.
The report added that it also used 1TB Cloud storage to store nude images and video clips.
The collection can have hundreds of thousands of items, according to the report.
The report said that Chi bragged about his hacking ability to use a pseudonym “iCloudripper4you”.
According to the report, Chi will testify to others involved.
