Rohit Shetty ‘Sooryavanshi’ action drama, which opened in Diwali, has appeared as a blockbuster at the box office and continues to collect a large response from the audience.
Comforter, led by Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, also have cameo appearance by Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, and some new faces.
One of the new talents was South Beauty Haelyn Shastri which made him Bollywood debuted with a key role as an anti-terrorist squad officer Malvika Gupta in ‘Sooryavanshi’.
However, he almost lost the film.
In an interview with Etimes, newcomers revealed how he finally landed a role.

How does it feel to be part of a very successful film like ‘Sooryavanshi’?
I go beyond words, and thank you! I am very happy that I was part of ‘Soryanvanshi’.
My role was chosen to leave my hand and there was no possibility of getting back even after realizing the police role for six months and maintaining constant contact with the film team.
When I was lost on the chance of the film, honestly it made me angry but I believe that what is meant for you will always come back; This is how I got this film.
I got a call then for another role from the police and accepted it.
Even though the role of Malvika Gupta ATS is limited to one, but I think it’s meant for me.
It kept I wondering if I would be able to do justice for the character being a newcomer in Bollywood.
Then came parents and friends who made me understand that it was all part of the learning process in my career.
I am very happy that everyone loves my short scene; I can say I get a little recognition.
‘Sooryavanshi’ is not just a film but will always be emotional to me.
How have your Bollywood debut response?
I have received many blessings from everyone; It was overwhelmed because I didn’t have Godfather in the industry.
I will always thank the ‘Soryanvanshi’ team, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar.

Explain working with Rohit Shetty …
Rohit Sir knows exactly who is the right character and how to make the film look interesting.
The name ‘hit machine’ is truly perfect for him.
I only had a few interactions with him but I saw it as calm but also a strict person when it came to work.
For some reason, during my early days of filming, I was a little afraid of him.
But he both had fun.
How is your co-star, Akshay and Katrina?
The first time he met me with Akshay Kumar was quite interesting; I had to shoot my first scene with him.
While we interact, I remember introducing myself, and then we jump directly to the crime scene.
He improvised the scene and told me to follow his direction as we with the screenspace.
So, for the whole scene you see in the film, credit goes to Akshay.
While I did not share the screen room with Katrina, there was one shot where we had interactions.
He is so positive and sweet …
like an angel.
All I can say is that I really like his aura.
